To run an isolation trace using the Outage Planner dialog:

1. In the Outage Planner dialog, click the Isolation Trace button.

   This will initialize the isolation trace. When completed the prompt will read: Locate Element > Select Feature.

2. Click on a water network feature.

   The isolation trace will execute and highlighting the isolation area.

   At the same time, the isolation trace results will display in the Outage Planner dialog, Isolation Areas tab.

   Note how individual elements that make up the trace can be traversed up to the point of showing individual feature properties.

   Note that after running one isolation trace, the Start button is activated, ready to execute a dead end trace.

3. The isolation trace is completed, to run a next isolation trace, repeat by clicking the Isolation Trace button and selecting another water network element.

   Subsequent isolation traces will highlight and be added to the Outage Planner dialog.
